Diamond Head Theatre is moving closer to breaking ground on its new performing arts. At this moment, the ink is drying on its signed contract with Allied Builders Systems, a locally-owned, trusted contractor with more than 50 years of providing award-winning projects throughout Hawaii. Together with Houston-based architects Studio Red, project management firm Cumming, Dallas-based theatre consultants, Schuler Shook and the DHT Facilities Committee, we are poised and ready.
“We have hope that our new theatre on the horizon will shine as a bright light for our Hawai’i arts community,” DHT Executive Director Deena Dray.
For over a century, hundreds of thousands of people have been entertained, inspired and enlightened at Diamond Head Theatre, enchanted by the magic that only live theatre can create. The magic continues with this promise of a new theatre.
DHT operates on State of Hawaii DLNR land and holds a long-term lease until 2073.
