Summer Programs

The Musical Theatre Experience (MTE) is Diamond Head Theatre's popular summer school program for children ages 7-16.

Students receive valuable training in acting, singing and dancing, as well as fascinating insight into the history of musical theatre. The course is designed to provide a fun-filled experience, which includes theatre games, improvisations, vocal and physical exercises, dance styles and technique, plus much more!

Both entertaining and educational, the program helps build character and self-confidence through personal communication and teamwork.

Best of all, the program culminates in a performance featuring all of the students on the final Saturday.

You will receive an e-mail confirmation your application being received by DHT. Applications will be processed in the order in which they are received, and you will be notified within three business days of your status (acceptance or waitlist). Upon acceptance, applicants will complete the registration process, including tuition payment.

JOHN YOUNG FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

The purpose of the John Young Foundation Scholarship is to provide new opportunities in performing arts for youth to learn and grow. Applicants should demonstrate a passion to learn about musical theatre. The scholarship is not based on financial need, and may only be applied to MTE. Applications will be accepted through April 30, 2013. Applicants who meet the requirements will be notified and scheduled for an interview with the program director.
