Location

The theatre is located by Fort Ruger in Kaimuki on the back slopes of Diamond Head. The theatre's address is 520 Makapuu Avenue, Honolulu, Hawaii 96816. The street in front of the theatre is Makapuu Avenue; the one on the side is Alohea Avenue. The front of the theatre is across the street from Kapiolani Community College.

Directions

From the H1 Freeway, heading East:

Take the 6th Avenue exit. At the top of the exit ramp, turn right. Two traffic lights and one stop sign later, the name of the street changes to Alohea Avenue. Follow Alohea Avenue until it meets Makapuu Avenue (you’ll see Diamond Head Theatre on your left). Parking is available behind the theatre or at the Kapiolani Community College campus across the street.

From Hawaii Kai:

Drive toward Honolulu on Kalanianaole Highway and get into the right lane at the stoplight just before the freeway is elevated over Kahala. Take the Kilauea Avenue exit. Take the first left under the freeway onto Kilauea Avenue (Kahala Mall will be on your right). Continue on Kilauea for a mile or so; it will head up a steep hill (Kapiolani Community College campus will be on your left). At the top of the hill, turn left on Makapuu Avenue. Two blocks down on the right is the theatre. Turn right just past the theatre and park behind the theatre in the parking lot, or turn left after the theatre and park in the Kapiolani Community College campus.

From Waikiki:

Get on Kalakaua Avenue going toward Diamond Head. Just after the Kapahulu-Kalakaua intersection (the Honolulu Zoo will be on your left), take the fork in the street; this is Monsarrat Avenue. Stay in the right hand lane and continue on Monsarrat to the back slope of Diamond Head. Turn left onto Makapuu Avenue. The theatre is one block on the left. Turn left just before the theatre and park behind the theatre in the parking lot, or turn right just before the theatre and park in the Kapiolani Community College campus.

TheBus from Waikiki:

Catch a No. 2 bus or walk to the corner of Kalakaua Avenue and Kapiolani Blvd. at the Hard Rock Café. Get on a No. 3 Ruger/Waialae bus along Kapiolani Blvd. There is a bus stop right in front of the theatre. Call TheBus for more information.
